Computer Application Research Center(CARC) is founded in the end of 2011, which is based on High Performance Computer Research Center and Integration Application Center. CARC focuses on developing platform-level system and key technology for supporting and building future applications. It has systematically explored in fields including cloud computing, serverless, blockchain, and artificial intelligence. Furtherly based on the research work, it develops multiple industry application solutions in many fields, including social governance, education, medical service and so on.

　　In cloud computing, CARC develops federated cloud computing platform, which has been serving several organizations and companies. Currently, it is constructing fundamental cloud platform for coming era of IOT.

　　In serverless, CARC builds the next-generation serverless platform, to simplify and optimize cloud-native distributed application programming, running and scheduling in globally distributed cloud, edge and IOT devices.

　　In blockchain, CARC develops unified blockchain management platform, to coordinate low-level chains and data resrouces across different blockchain systems for multi-level user requirements in actual business applications.

　　In AI, CARC innovates in NLP system and technology, to help understand large-scale information and serve in practical aspects, including public opinion service, domain-specific public information service.

　　Additionally, CARC's application service stack also covers a series of platform-level software, including parallel database software, data warehouse software, distributed file system, cluster management and job scheduling system. Until now, these services and related applications have been promoted and applied in industries mentioned above. CARC will continue to explore practical application service for promoting digital economic value in industries.
