The delegation of Council for Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR) in South Africa visited ICT on Sep.05, 2011. Dr. Sibisi, President and Chief Executive Officer, and other 5 senior staff of CSIR consisted the delegation. CSIR is the largest academic institution in South Africa. Prof. Xu Zhiwei, the director of academic committee of ICT, introduced high performance
computing and management organization of the institute. Thereafter the delegation had a tour in the Micro-processor Technology Center where they were very impressed by Godson chips’performance. In the discussion both parties agreed the information technology institutes should co-operated with application users like CSIR. It was a breaking-ice visiting and accelerate each other’s understanding.
