The HyperTransport Technology Consortium is a membership-based, non-profit organization responsible for managing, licensing and promoting HyperTransport technology as an open high-performance technology standard industry-wide and worldwide. The HyperTransport Technology Consortium was founded in 2001 by technology leaders Advanced Micro Devices (AMD), Alliance Semiconductors, Apple, Broadcom, Cisco, NVIDIA, PMC-Sierra and Sun Microsystems, current Consortium members include more than 60 industry-leading companies and academic institutions across the globe. Consortium membership is open to any company interested in royalty-free licensing of HyperTransport technology and the HyperTransport trademarks for commercial use, or to any academic and research institution interested in using HyperTransport technology for its research projects. |
