- Brief Introduction
- The Data Intelligence System Research Center is oriented to the strategic needs of modernizing national capacity for governance and cyberspace security, and to developing data intelligence systems and scientific facility including cyberspace intelligence perception systems, collective decision-making systems and social simulators. The research center is tasked to promote fundamental research and technological breakthroughs in data science, network science, social computing, and cognitive computing.
- General Objectives/ Research Fields
- The main research directions of the Data Intelligence System Research Center include data intelligence, social computing, natural language processing, web data mining, and knowledge graphing. Through fundamental research and technological breakthroughs, the research center promotes the development of data intelligence systems, enhances national independent innovation capability in Big Data, and seeks improvements in cyberspace governance capability and digital economy development.
- Strategy && Reward
- The Data Intelligence System Research Center undertakes dozens of important research projects under direction from the National Natural Science Foundation of China, and the National Key Research and Development Program. The team has published more than 200 papers in prestigious international journals such as Science and PNAS and at top-tier academic conferences such as KDD, SIGIR, WWW, AAAI, IJCAI, ACL, CIKM, and WSDM, among others. The center has received many awards for the best papers at international conferences, and its research has won national and provincial sci-tech awards, including second prizes in the National Technical Invention competition and in the National Science and Technology Progress competition.
