Research Center for Intelligent Computing Systems (CICS)

Date: May 16, 2023
  • Aiming at the nation’s important demands, with a development strategy of “one core and two platforms,” the Research Center for Intelligent Computing Systems (CICS) takes developing world-leading intelligent computers as its mission. The center works to establish a research platform of new theories, architectures and methodologies for building intelligent computers and creating key chips for domain-specific processing. Additionally, CICS has a goal of establishing a promising, attractive platform for excellent talents in the area of intelligent computing systems. “Application driven and innovation driven” thinking is given full play by the unique advantages of Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences (ICT, CAS). Within the computer architecture area, CICS’ strong background is confirmed by its excellent academic reputation, successful achievements in big machine and largescale chips design, ability to attract and foster talented researchers, and high-level international cooperation. In striving to fulfill the nation’s planning and strategic demands in the intelligent computer area, CICS demonstrates momentum toward being a leading-edge intelligent computer research team with prominent discipline characteristics and global influence. Its main thrust is to energetically advance original, disruptive innovations in the fundamental theories and architectures for designing intelligent computers.
