Dr. Yunquan Zhang is a full professor and PhD Advisor of High-performance computing center, Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences in Beijing, China. He is a CCF Fellow, the General Secretary of Technical Committee on High Performance Computing of CCF and the Chairman of ACM SIGHPC CHINA. He was appointed as the Director of National Supercomputing Center at Jinan (2017.01-2019.12), the Expert Review Group member of Information Sciences Division of the National Science Foundation (China) and the Chair of CCF YOCSEF (2010-2011). He received his BS degree in computer science and engineering from the Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing, China in 1995. He received a PhD degree in Computer Software and Theory from the Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2000. His research interests are in the areas of high-performance parallel computing, parallel algorithms and software, and parallel computational models. He has published over 200 papers in top international journals and conferences including SC, PPoPP, Proceedings of the IEEE, TPDS and TACO. He received the Excellent Prize of President Scholarship, Chinese Academy of Sciences, the National Science and Technology Advancement Award, 2nd Class, in 2000 and 2019, and the outstanding science and technology achievement prize of the Chinese academy of sciences in 2017. He also organizes and distributes China’s TOP100 List of High-Performance Computers, which traces and reports the development of the HPC system technology and usage in China. He served as a reviewer of journals including IEEE TC, ACM TACO, IEEE TPDS, JPDC, Parallel Computing, Concurrency and Computation Practice and Experience and SCIENCE CHINA and program member of conferences including ICPADS’08、ICS’10、EuroPar’11、FGC’11、IPDPS’11、CGC’11、SC’11、ICPADS’12、CCGrid’12、EuroPar’12、FGC’12、IPDPS’13、CGO’13、CCGrid’14和IPDPS’14. He was the program chair of IEEE CSE 2010、IEEE HPCC 2013、FCST2015,NPC2015 and HPC China 2016, the Steering Committee Member of ISC’12, and the general co-chair of the ISC 2011 HPC in Asia Workshop and ScalCom 2015.
