Wen Ji is a Professor with the Institute of Computing Technology (ICT), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), China. Dr. Ji received the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in communication and information systems from Northwestern Polytechnical University, China, in 2003 and 2006, respectively. From 2014 to 2015, and in 2018, Dr. Ji was a visiting scholar at the Department of Electrical Engineering, Princeton University, USA. Her research area includes multimedia communication and networking, visual information coding, video coding, edge computing, end-edge-cloud systems, low carbon systems, integrated human-machine intelligence, crowd intelligence, channel coding, multimedia economics, network economics, information theory and optimization. Dr. Ji has 22 issued patents and more than 80 refereed publications in journals, and conference proceedings related to her areas of interest. She served or serves on various editorial boards, including as a Guest Editor for the ACM Transactions on Embedded Computing Systems, IEEE Journal on Selected Areas in Communications, and IEEE Wireless Communications. Dr. Ji is a senior member of the IEEE, and a senior member of China Computer Federation. She received the Best Paper Award at the International Journal of IJCS 2021, the Outstanding Paper Award at the International Conference in IEEE ISPA 2020, the Best Paper Award at the International Conference in Platcon 2015 and in GameNets 2014, and the Annual Excellent Research Star Award of ICT/CAS in 2015. Her research results received the Beijing Science and Technology Award in 2015 and in 2016, the Excellent Patent Award of China Patent Award in 2016, and the Technical Invention Award of CCF Science and Technology Award in 2017.
