Dr. Hong Chang is a full professor in Intelligent Information Processing Laboratory, Chinese Academy of Sciences. She received her Bachelor degree from Hebei University of Technology in 1998, M.Phil. degree from Tianjin University in 2001, and Ph.D. degree from Hong Kong University of Science and Technology in 2006, all in Computer Science. She was a permanent research scientist at Xerox Research Centre Europe. From 2008, she has been an associate researcher and researcher at Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences. Her main research interests include models and algorithms of machine learning, especially deep learning, semi-supervised learning, few-shot learning, etc., as well as the applications of machine learning methods in computer vision and pattern recognition, especially image and video modeling, object detection, tracking and person re-identification.
