I am a professor at the Institute of Computing Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences and my research focuses on program analysis techniques. Specifically, our research group aims to develop practical program analysis techniques and tools, to help improve software reliability and security. We have developed the static analysis tool Wukong, which can detect deep software errors involving complex inter-procedural dependences via pointers and references and supports more than 10 popular program languages including C/C++, Java, etc. Wukong is now commercialized and has been deployed in hundreds of organizations, detecting thousands of deep errors and potential vulnerabilities (more than 200 bugs have already been confirmed by the original developers) from popular open source applications including Google Chromium, Bash, Sed, Hadoop, etc. Our research has been published in top conferences including SOSP、USENIX Security、CCS、FSE、ASE、and CGO. I received the Excellent Graduate Advisor Prize of CAS in 2021, the Lin-Yan Prize of university of Chinese Academy of Sciences in 2021、2022,the SIGSOFT Distinguished paper award in ASE 2019, and the best paper honorable mention in CCS 2022.
