Dr. wang is an associate professor at the Institute of Computing Technology (ICT), Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). He obtained his Ph.D. in Computer Architecture from ICT in 2018. His research interests lie in computer security. In particular, the primary research lies at the intersection of security, operating systems, system virtualization, program analysis, dynamic binary translation, and compilers. He has been working in the following directions: 1) Building-block techniques for software security, such as the hardware-assist memory isolation for the process and the kernel; 2) System hardening against runtime attacks, such as the memory safety methods, the control-flow integrity and the code (re-)randomization; 3) Exploring software bugs and vulnerabilities, such as the concurrency bugs reproducing, and the JavaScript engine fuzzing; 4) Hardware vulnerabilities exploit and mitigation, such as the transient execution attacks and defenses; 5) Process-level and full-system (hardware-assist) virtualization. Many works were published at the top conferences and journals in recent years, such as IEEE S&P, USENIX Security, USENIX ATC, ACM CCS, ACM ISSTA, TSE, TDSC, etc. He has won the best paper honorable mention of CCS 2022.
