Dr. Mao Tianlu is an associate researcher in Institute of Computing Technology Chinese Academy of Sciences. She is also a master supervisor in University of Chinese Academy of Sciences, and a senior member of China Computer Society. She has won the first prize of Beijing Science and Technology Progress Award, the first prize of Science and Technology Award of China Occupational Safety and Health Association, the third prize of Science and Technology Progress Award of Henan Province, and the first prize of Science and Technology Achievement Award of Henan Provincial Education Department. Her research findings has been published in Top conferences including ICCV, ECCV, IEEE VR, and SCI journals including IEEE Transactions on Visualization and Computer Graphics, Computer Graphics Forum, SCIENCE CHINA. Her research results have been widely used in public safety, emergency management, virtual drill and other fields. She has challenged the simulation of the one million passengers for the 2010 Shanghai World Expo, and assisted in solving practical problems including emergency evaluation plan verification and peak passenger flow management. She has challenged the simulation of evacuation traffic in an area of 100 square kilometers to assist the evacuation capability assessment and emergency plan design around Qinshan and Fuqing nuclear power plants.
