In New York, Dec. 11, 2019, ACM (Association for Computing Machinery) announced the ACM Fellows List for 2019. Prof. Xilin Chen from Institute of Computing Technology, CAS has been elected as one of those new ACM Fellows for his contributions to face and sign language recognition and multimedia systems.
Established in 1993, the ACM Fellows Program aims at recognizing and honoring those Top 1% outstanding ACM members, who must have at least 5 years of continuous Professional Membership, for their exceptional contributions in comp uter science and information. ACM will formally recognize its 2019 Fellows at the annual Awards Banquet, to be held in San Francisco on June 20, 2020.
